It only comes once a year, but you can guarantee that on your child's birthday you will almost certainly want to give them a day to remember. In order to do this you must remember that one of the key elements to having successful Birthday is to throw a party and make sure to invite all their friends.

Why use Party Invitations?

If your child's birthday is approaching and you want to throw a successful party you will need to get organised. First things first, you need to know who your child wants to invite, who will be able to make it and the amount of people you will have to cater for.

The best way to find out these all important factors is by sending out party invitations, not only is it an age old tradition, but it's also a great way to help you get prepared for the big day.

Whenever you send out an invitation to someone, it's then up to them to respond by letting you know if they will be able to make it or not. This is usually done by cutting off and returning the RSVP ("Répondez s'il-vous-plaît" or "Réservez s'il-vous-plaît", a French phrase which means "Please respond" or "Please book your place") section of the invitation sent.

Getting it Right!

You can buy your party invitations from many different high street stores and supermarkets and also choose from a massive selection of styles and designs. It's best advised that you buy these well in advance (about 2 to 3 months before your child's birthday).

About a month before the birthday party is to take place, you should sit down with your child to make out a list of friends they may wish to invite to their party. Once you have the list, you will then have to carefully write out each invitation stating who the party is for, where it will be and what time it starts. Then when your child next goes to school they can take the invites with them and give them out in class to their friends. All you have to do then is wait for the response to the invites.

With the responses to your invites you can now plan the party and know exactly now many people to cater for. Good luck with any birthday parties you might be organising in the near future.
